  • Catholic school brought to justice over sexual abuse responsibility

    Porters Laywers pursued over 30 civil actions in the ACT Supreme Court, over allegations against 5 teachers at the Marist Brothers College and Daramalan College for the physical and sexual abuse of students. Porters were able to secure almost $7 million in compensation to the students involved.

  • Lawyers prepare class action over forced adoptions

    Porters Lawyers presented a class action for over 100 individuals who experienced forced adoption in the 1960s and 1970s. The individuals claim they were forced to give up their babies at a number of institutions and hospitals run by charities and church orders around Australia.
    In the process Porters provided symmetry, counselling and sought compensation for those involved.
