Porters Lawyers is Australia’s leading rights-based law firm specialising in institutional child sexual abuse.
For more than 20 years, Porters Lawyers has helped survivors of institutional child sexual abuse seek justice, accountability and compensation.
We have built a talented and experienced team of legal practitioners and support staff who understand the sensitive nature of the matters we litigate. We work closely with our clients to provide a tailored experience and achieve outstanding results.
We specialise exclusively in Abuse Law. This focus has given our team a deep understanding of the relevant law, and the empathy required to support clients who have not only survived institutional child sexual abuse, but who have spent a lifetime navigating the impacts of that abuse.
Representing survivors across Australia and internationally, our team will travel to any part of the globe to ensure your voice is heard.
Jason Parkinson
Porters Lawyers Principal
Since 2006, Jason has worked with clients impacted by institutional child sexual abuse. As the community has increasingly come to recognise the atrocities of the past and the impact on survivors, Jason has -because of dedication and care for his clients - established a position as a leader in Abuse Law.
Jason does more than just deliver outcomes for our clients; as a pioneer in his space, he has worked tirelessly to raise the profile of institutional sexual abuse to ensure that all survivors are aware of their right to seek reparation.
This work contributed to the momentum for the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and subsequent National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Sexual Assault.
Jason continues to assist victims across Australia and internationally. His extensive knowledge, empathy and commitment to justice continues to propel his efforts to assist survivors.
