Jason Parkinson

Porters Lawyers Principal

Jason Parkinson was admitted as a Solicitor in 1992. Previously he spent 12 years as a detective with NSW Police.

Since 2006, Jason has worked with clients impacted by institutional sexual abuse. As the community has increasingly come to recognise the impacts these crimes upon victims, Jason has – as a result of dedication and care for his clients – established a position as a leader in seeking justice for all.

Jason, through Porters Lawyers, does more than just deliver outcomes for their clients. He has worked to raise the profile of the issue to ensure that anyone affected through institutional sexual abuse sees an opportunity to seek reparation.

This work contributed to the momentum for a Royal Commission into Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse and subsequent National Apology to Victims and Survivors of Institutional Sexual Assault.

Now, Jason is still working to assist victims across Australia. His extensive knowledge, personal empathy and commitment to justice continues to propel his efforts to assist anyone who is a victim of Childhood Sexual Assault.
